Government Relations and Advocacy Research

Government Relations and Advocacy Research

The senior team at JWS Research are highly experienced campaign researchers and strategists with a background in polling and political campaigns. While JWS Research does not (and has never previously) worked for a political party, we draw on this past campaign and political experience to deliver effective campaigns.

Effective government relations and advocacy campaigns combine the right message, the right speaker, the right medium, and the right audience. Public opinion, including stakeholder, customer or voter research provides a roadmap for your campaign.

It provides detailed understanding of public sentiment, including levels of support or opposition to an issue, likely target audiences, and the language or messaging most effective in moving opinions and persuading individuals and groups to act.

We partner with communications and government relations specialists to understand and leverage public opinion, often in relation to complex and sometimes sensitive issues, to make a case for change – whether it be to government, regulators, media, shareholders, public, or other internal or external stakeholders.

Public Sector Research

JWS Research specialise in partnering with local, state and federal governments and their agencies to undertake comprehensive research and evaluation programs to inspire or refine policy interventions, deliver better public services, unlock behaviour change or enable more effective stakeholder relationships.

We have extensive experience in conducting research among vulnerable and marginalised communities, including but not limited to First Nations people, CALD communities, people living with disability, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, are socially and/or economically disadvantaged, and Australians from remote and regional locations.

Our research for government takes many forms, including:
